Athlete profile: Renée Labrosse

Hailing from the the small town of Carp, near Ottawa, Team Canada’s Co-Captain Renée Labrosse currently plays for Montreal Roller Derby’s New Skids on the Block, and with Ottawa Valley Roller Derby. She has played derby since 2014. Growing up playing competitive hockey, she has also played rugby, soccer, basketball, volleyball, ultimate, cross-country running, track and field, and paddle tennis. Her multisport background serves her well in her current position as an elementary school Phys. Ed. teacher. She can also be found playing the ukulele.
